Join Meg for a dynamic, hands-on workshop where you'll craft a stunning functional garlic keeper and garlic grater plate. This is your chance to let your creativity shine!
Ideal for beginners, this workshop offers a fantastic introduction to hand-building with clay, brimming with opportunities to explore your artistic side and have a great time.
Important Information:
- This workshop is for 18+
- Minimum of 3 participants is required for the class to run with a maximum of 8
- Workshop is approximately 2hrs long with 30 minutes of that time allotted for cleanup.
- All decorating tools and templated provided
- Clay provided
- Your piece will be bisque fired for you
- Your piece will be glazed and fired for you
- Choose between 3 glaze colours
Everyone will receive a large slab of clay with enough to create one jar. If you have extra clay and time, feel free to experiment by crafting a ceramic spoon to go with your new jar.
Explore textures and tools to infuse your piece with personality and uniqueness—let your imagination run wild!
Workshop details:
- Register: Sign up online by checking out through this page, you must provide your information and payment in full at checkout to register for this class.
- What to wear: wear clothes that you can get muddy in! Aprons will NOT be provided, so don't come to class in your Sunday best. Leave jewelry; bracelets, rings, necklaces at home! Trim your nails - there is nothing worse than finishing a piece only to gouge it with a long nail and have it destroyed!
- Clean-Up: Everyone lends when it's time for clean up and you are responsible for cleaning your space as much as possible.
- What to Bring: Texture! While some texture tools will be provided, feel free to bring your own such as leaves, flowers, lace, doilies, ect. These can make your mug one of a kind and add visual interest.
