About the event
Mindfulness is a type of meditation in which you focus on being intensely aware of what you're sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment.Practicing mindfulness involves breathing methods, guided imagery, and other practices to relax the body and mind. Mindfulness-based practices have been shown to reduce anxiety and depression.
There's also evidence that mindfulness can lower blood pressure and improve sleep. It may even help people copewith pain.
Mindful Meditation can be done lying down, sitting in a chair, or sitting on the floor.
Each hour long session will include some time for reflection on your practice (to encourage accountability), and a 40 minute meditation. Bring your Yoga mat, blanket and comfort measures.
Cost – 6 week sessions on rotation = 6 weeks for $66
