About

Who is Heartfelt Jules? 
Depression and anxiety have been part of my life’s journey for the last 30 years, and after I was diagnosed with a medical condition in 2015, rooted in stress, I needed to make a major life change. 
​​

I stepped away from my career as a Special Education Resource Teacher and more intentionally into teaching Earth-Based Spirituality.  Being held by Mama Earth has forever been my safe space and I want others to experience her too. 

​I struggled greatly with losing my work life identity and found myself in what I call “the dark place.” I discovered true reprieve in spiritual learning and more holistic therapies by starting with coming home to my Body, through ecstatic dance with a practice called Dance Our Way Home.

​By sitting in Circle, I learned I was not alone. There is a common humanity to suffering and when we are able to engage in heart-based communication in the safe space of Sacred Circles we grow closer to our authentic selves.  We have so much to learn from listening to each other.

​I do my best to live positively through choosing Love, and rooted in embodied presence with the support of meditation and mindfulness practices. I continue to live in cycle with the seasons and the moon through my love of Pagan Traditions.

Mindfulness can simply be defined as observation without judgement. A judgement is a perception of something as either good or bad.  When we move through our lives from a place of judgement, we are reinforcing our old patterns and perpetuating suffering.

Mindfulness teaches us to move through life without attachment to “good” or “bad”. This helps us to identify areas of attachment and release old patterns in order to live our truth.


The practice of Mindfulness can help:

Heartfelt Jules is a Certified Mindfulness Coach with many options for experiencing the practices and tools of Mindfulness. She offers 1:1 coaching, group meditation, and a 6 week series of group learning sessions.

Mindfulness Coaching – What to Expect

Mindfulness coaching is a wellness offering that can help you explore, develop, and/or sustain a mindfulness practice. Tools can include compassionate communication, breathwork, meditation, gentle mindful movement, and bringing mindfulness skills into daily activities. Sessions are tailored to your goals and interests.

 

What is a session like?

The first session is a free 30 minute consultation. This is a chance to share more about your goals and background with mindfulness, ask any questions, and discuss what will be most helpful to you. Depending on your interests, the rest of the session and future ones might include troubleshooting any issues, learning about and working with your limiting beliefs, practicing various mindfulness tools, helping you maintain a personal practice, and/or anything else related to mindfulness. Practicing mindfulness outside of sessions is helpful but not required.

 

How is mindfulness coaching different than counseling?

Mindfulness coaching is NOT counseling. Appointments are with a Certified and Practiced Mindfulness Coach and Instructor, not a Therapist.

While a Therapist looks deeply at emotions through the lens of our ‘stories’ – a Mindfulness Coach holds a container for self-exploration and offers tools to evaluate experiences based on the principles of mindfulness.

The Coaching process will take us through 5 stages:

  • Evaluate, Identify, Set Goals, Educate, and Measure Progress

I will help you apply the tenants of mindfulness to find your truest heartfelt desire and move through limiting beliefs, judgements, pain and rejection to be able to find confidence and connection. 

 

Effects of Mindfulness Coaching:

Develop tools to work through your limiting beliefs and judgements that are preventing you from living your authentic truth and your heartfelt desire.

Gain tangible tools to use in the moment to reground, recentre, and return to objectivity.

6 week beginner series

This community is for everyone.  Well-versed or new to meditation, all genders, all ages.

 

Mindfulness is a type of meditation in which you focus on being intensely aware of what you're sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment. Practicing mindfulness involves breathing methods, guided imagery, and other practices

to relax the body and mind.  Mindfulness-based practices have been shown to reduce anxiety and depression. There's also evidence that mindfulness can lower blood pressure and improve sleep. It may even help people cope with pain.

 

Mindful Meditation can be done lying down, sitting in a chair, or sitting on the floor.

Each hour long session will include some time for reflection on your practice (to encourage accountability), and a 40 minute meditation.  Bring your Yoga mat, blanket and comfort measures.

Dance Our Way Home

Come home to your body.  Renew your connection to the sacred vessel that carries you through this one precious life. 

DOWH, as a form of ecstatic dance and meditative movement, is an embodiment practice through a 3 hour spiral journey.

DOWH is for anyone interested in coming home to their body - building awareness of what our body is trying to share with us.

 

Enjoy a total body movement experience, exercise, calming effect, and increased self awareness.

This joy is shared through a 3 hour long workshop of movement and dance to a varied and vibrant mix of music used to connect to yourself and community. 

 

This ecstatic dance practice is infused with spiritual elements of the divine feminine. 

Start in meditation, work up to release movement (through partner dance and group dance), spiral back down to meditation.  

 

We will work with the 10 DOWH principles:

1.   Body is our teacher

2.   Dance heals and wholes us

3.   Loving kindness creates safe space

4.   Self-expression and self-worth are birth rights

5.   Acceptance of self is the way to joy and freedom

6.   Embracing the Divine Feminine within creates balance and deeper knowing

7.   Radiance is our original state of being

8.   Letting go and relaxing are keys to magic-making

9.   We are all Sacred and interconnected with the Great Whole

10. Possibilities are limitless.  Miracles do happen.​

Reiki

Reiki

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese word made up of 2 syllables: Rei and Ki. 
 
Rei means spiritual wisdom, mysterious power, essence. 

Ki (Chi in Chinese) means vital life force, light
 
Reiki is an energy healing technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety through gentle touch. Deeply relaxing, the treatment is done fully clothed, lying on a treatment table  or comfortably supported in a chair. 
 
A Reiki treatment can feel like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through you and surrounds you. The majority of people find that it is an extremely relaxing experience.

Reiki reaches all levels of existence and strives to bring these differing levels into balance.  It seems to have a way of knowing what is needed for a person, as it is naturally drawn by the recipient of the treatment. 
 
What  to Expect
During the session, I, as the practitioner, will place my hands lightly on or near your body in a series of hand positions; including positions around the head and shoulders, the stomach, and the feet, as well as other positions depending on your needs and whether you are lying down or sitting up. 
 
The placement of my hands will never be intrusive or inappropriate, nor should there be any pressure.
 
What might I experience?
Receiving Reiki is a wonderfully passive experience. Don't try to relax, just let the Reiki relax you. Your state will shift quite naturally as the session proceeds. Meanwhile feel free to daydream, enjoy the music, or simply observe your breath or the sensations of the therapy.
 
Things people typically say after a Reiki session:
 

     "I feel very refreshed and seem to be thinking more clearly."
